Once again a group of Capernwray students is excited to join the Joshua's Well team going to Jamaica. We are looking forward stepping out in faith and practicing what we have learned all year so far that Jesus came to live inside of us so that He can work in and through us. That is what we are expecting as we go and serve in HIS kingdom being prompted in our hearts to serve Him in this very unique context.
We know building a house is just one project on the list but building relationships with each other and the people in Jamaica and seeking Jesus throughout every day and how He might use us is where we want to have our eyes open to. We have been learning a lot about the walk by faith in the class room and are learning to live it out as we live in community here on Thetis (serving God always starts at home) but going on this trip will be a new experience for all of us.
There will be 8 students (5 Canadians and 3 Austrians) joining Ralf Kempe (staff member from Capernwray). We are excited to see what God is going to do through us and in us as we go, knowing that He will be faithful to work in our hearts as we serve Him. This trip is just another stepping stone into a deeper relationship with Him as the life after this trip and after finishing Capernwray's one year program should continue to be of the same mind regardless of location.
