Accommodations
- Dorm style buildings
- Bunk beds – bring your own single sheets and a light blanket (may purchase same on arrival if packing space is an issue).
- Hot water not available in showers *Communal washrooms
*”Cooler” temperatures at night (20-25C)
Transportation
- Will be provided upon arrival getting you to and from your destinations.
Food
- Will be provided for you. Please notify Serena Burdick if there are any allergies or special food requirements.
- Please be available to assist in kitchen /meal time duties. A schedule will be established.
Currency
- The suggestion is to take American cash (can use in cities) and have it exchanged to Jamaican dollars on arrival (to use rural).
Luggage
- Pack light, and add donations to your luggage that can be left behind for your new friends!
“What do I bring?”
- A willing heart to be used by Jesus
- Bible, journal, & a pen for nightly writing
- Clothes that may be soiled and/or left behind (if in good condition)
- Appropriate footwear for the job site
- Breathable fabrics, conservative in style
- Light rain jacket & rain gear
- Flip flops and beach attire (conservative), incl. a beach towel
- Sunscreen (may be placed in a checked bag, not allowed in carryon)
- Toiletries (liquids not allowed in carryon), incl. bug spray
- Personal medications (must be in prescription container)
- Sunglasses (cheap)

- One church outfit, think conservative, but remember it will be warm
- Camera (watch it closely)
- Passport (not a suggestion!) that doesn’t expire within 6 months +a copy of your passport
- Air travel itinerary
- Money and bank card (don’t bring a large amount of cash) for personal spending money
- Bring enough snacks/supplies for yourself if needed in addition to lunches provided
- Packets of Crystal Light-type drink mix (optional) Snorkel/goggles/fins (only if space permits)
- Less is best, but you want to be comfortable
