Ministry

Who we are

We are a group of willing volunteers from Canada (AB and BC), who are focused on helping those in need. Having a previous, long term history in Jamaica, we had the opportunity to return in March 2012 and perform service projects – two houses and additional small jobs; medical clinics – with a team of medical professionals; children’s Sunday School; and Vacation Bible School.

We have also recently kicked off a funding program designed to help individuals progress through school so they have a better chance of improving their family's financial situation. Our hope is that along the way we build lasting, meaningful relationships with all the people we have worked with, and ultimately that God is glorified in everything we do.

Our Mission Statement

Our purpose is to spread God's Kingdom and to stimulate Spiritual Growth in God's People both locally and abroad while providing Practical Help to needy Brothers and Sisters in Christ through the application of our Gifts and Talents in an adventurous, non-threatening and safe environment. We pray that this mission will facilitate the process of Sanctification by the Holy Spirit in each one of you, and that Christ's Love becomes fresh and refined in all who participate!"

The Burdick Family

Written by Wes – My parents (Don and Jean Burdick) after spending 15 years dairy farming decided to give 1.5 yrs of their lives as a tithe to missions. This would eventually lead us to Jamaica in 1985! I was 12 at the time. That year had a HUGE impact on me and I have found myself going back several times since, to assist in projects and for holidays.

We returned last year as our the first time back in 11 yrs. Our hearts were simply stirred to return to the hills of the West Indies! Again this year, we have the privilege of taking our 4 children (Bailey, Dawson, Brinay and Daneal) who are all very excited! We have seen God’s hand at work in so many ways since initiating this whole “Joshua’s Well”! We praise Him for these confirmations! We don’t know what all He has in store this year, but our prayer is that each person on this trip, and those we meet, will come to a deeper understanding of God’s great love and mercy. This has certainly been the case for our family, as we’ve seen God answering our prayers and moving in the hearts of people to make this trip possible. These are faith builders for our hearts, and I praise God for this, as He shows Himself to us.

We look forward to spending time with each of you and hearing what God is doing in your hearts as we serve Him together.
