Locals to build houses and provide healthcare for Jamaicans

We have some very exciting news to share with you!! It is time for us to return to Jamaica!  After 11 years we have decided to go back to a very familiar area of interior Jamaica from Mar 16th – April 14th, 2012 . This time we are excited to have all four of our children be a part of this experience!

Through the help of the local Jamaican church, and with the Lord’s leading, we’ve identified some very needy families and plan to build houses for them.  The needs in this country far surpass what we can ever do, and in some cases people’s homes are falling down all around them.   This is a very unique opportunity that we look forward to sharing with our children.

Our plan is to also provide rural medical clinics in very remote areas where healthcare is very difficult to access and often unavailable to the nationals.  Two other families from our church have also committed to come for the month, and together we anticipate this opportunity of a lifetime!

We are currently in the planning stages for projects; busy fundraising; and working on team building.  Although each family is covering their own personal expenses, we are eagerly raising funds that will be directly allocated towards the housing projects. If you are interested in getting involved and partnering with us, donations can be made to First Baptist Church 9602-98 St. Peace River, AB T8S 1G4 designated “Joshua’s Well/Jamaica Fund”. Or can be left at the UFA Petroleum in Peace River or Grimshaw.  A tax deductible receipt will be issued to you.  We are also hosting a silent auction on Dec. 4th and would welcome any donations your company may wish to contribute.
